PIPE character as the title separator

To make sure the PIPE (|) character is selected as the title separator in Yoast SEO, you will need to follow these steps:

  • In the WordPress dashboard, navigate to the "SEO" menu and click on the "General" tab.
  • Scroll down to the "Features" section.
  • Under the "Title Separator" heading, select the "| (pipe)" option from the dropdown menu.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Save Changes" button to save your settings.

If you are using the block editor (Gutenberg), you can also change the title separator by following these steps:

  • Edit the page or post you want to change the title separator for.
  • Click on the "SEO" tab in the right-hand menu.
  • Scroll down to the "Features" section and select the "| (pipe)" option from the "Title Separator" dropdown menu.
  • Click the "Update" button to save your changes.
  • Note: If you have multiple sites in your WordPress installation, you will need to repeat these steps for each site to change the title separator for all of them.
