Viewing an uncached WPengine page

Add ?something to the URL to see an uncached WPengine page. something can be anything. The ? bypasses the cache.

An alternative (and much more cumbersome) approach to view a page with the WPengine cache disabled, you can use the "Cache Debug" tool in the WP Engine User Portal. Here's how:

  • Log in to the WP Engine User Portal.
  • Navigate to the "Tools" section and click on the "Cache Debug" tool.
  • Enter the URL of the page you want to view in the "URL to debug" field and click the "Debug" button.
  • The Cache Debug tool will display the uncached version of the page.

Note: The Cache Debug tool is only available for users with the "Administrator" role.

If you do not have access to the Cache Debug tool, you can try one of the following alternatives:

  • Use a private browsing window: Private browsing windows do not store cache data, so you can use one to view the uncached version of a page.

Keep in mind that these methods will only disable the cache for your own device. Other users may still see the cached version of the page. To disable the cache for all users, you will need to make changes to the caching settings on the WP Engine platform.
